Sadly, got to the dealership to find that someone had put a deposit on it. I was just gonna go take a test drive, to see how I like it, in case I end up needing to replace the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (thank you all for weighing in on this, much appreciated!) .
2013 XF, V6 Supercharged, 50k miles, Meridian audi o and best of all BRG!

Did they have an F-Pace SVT? I am curious on those.

So, no test drive then? A while back, I drove a 2017 XF supercharged, and loved that engine. I found the seats a bit hard, and the back seat was tight compared to the competition, but lots of POOOOWWWAAAAHHHH!

You mean an $80k, 550hp CUV ? Yes, yes they do!

It kind of blue my mind how stiff and shitty those seats were for such an expensive car. They were also tiny. Are Jags clientele gnomes? i’m not even large and I felt squeezed.

That’s too bad. Based on my experience with my XFR-S, I’d recommend.

Jaaaaags have a long history of being a tight squeeze (go check out a ‘70's XJ), but you would have thought they would have fixed that by now.
And yeah, I found the seat shape okay, but hard as a freaking rock.
The back seat was a dealbreaker for me, but tbh, it was too much money compared to the competition anyways.

The solution is to plant incriminating evidence on the deposit-placer.

Hey...when I want to get groceries at the speed of light...what better car than a Jag?

I actually looked into the V6SC F-Pace, but they are still too much on the used market for my budget.

Nope :( hopefully the deal falls through so I can at least score a test drive.
It hits many of my requirements: rwd-based- awd, decent power, good sound system, nice interior, etc.

I’ll have to pay attention if I get a test drive. I usually don’t mind stiff seats.

yeah, the price has really come down on these, to the $20k and below mark for reasonably low miles.

A V8 or V8SC would be nice, but those don’t come with AWD :(

oooOOooh! first we’ll have to devise a plan to get into my local police evidence locker. I’m going to have to get a crew together. I’ve got an opening for driver, contortionist and hacker.

I really really want an XF supercharged or R, but I even think the sport with the 3.0SC V6 would be plenty. Let us know how you like it if you get the chance to drive one!

Shoot. That’s a bargain! If you like the seats, and can live with the smallish back seat, I would do it!!

Yeah, I may test drive one about 45 minutes from here if I end up getting serious about buying one. It’s a black one, but it does have an interior color I like as well as the Meridian sound system.
I too would love a V8 supercharged model. And I’m not ruling it out entirely, I would however have to immediately invest in show tires, because Michigan.

Yeah, it’s fairly rare that I’ll have more than 1 other person in my car. We’ll see what comes of the SHO. I should know more tomorrow.

And they definitely are tail-happy, even with traction control on.

Haha I bet! That’s a lot of power for a medium sized sedan.

Let us know for sure!
Are you going CPO or just rolling the dice? I haven’t heard too many horror stories but I’m always a little weary. Good luck either way!

You may want to see if you can locate a 2012 XF, that will get you the same refreshed
body style above, along with the revised interior and infotainment BUT was the only year of that refreshed style to offer the N/A 5.0L v8. The added torque and the divine
sound make it worth while.
You won’t be able to get an all wheel drive with that configuration
, however.
Parts are cheaper on the NA 5.0 over the Supercharged (v8) models, power is fantastic, and they should be right around the same price point (or cheaper) than 2013's with the supercharged V6's.
Look for a premium, or even better.. a Portfolio version. Those are fully loaded with a unique color (Saddle) interior and unique rims.
*Disclosure: I own a 2010 5.0L Portfolio XF with now over 100k miles, and have had reasonably minimal issues. Same chassis as the one above, just pre-refresh.

I haven’t seen any CPO’s pop up in my search, so roll the dice it is! I googled them a bit and didn’t turn up any horror stories.

Interesting idea, I’d definitely need to look into snow tires though as I’m in Michigan. I normally do just fine with all-seasons, but with RWD I think I’d definitely want snowies.
I saw a few of the premium and portfolio ones. The main interesting thing about those seems to be the upgrade to the 17 speaker Meridian system.

I did just read that the drive shaft going to the front wheels goes through the oil pan, so that could be fun if something down there needs to be addressed.

Ummmmm. mmm. I have no words. What the hell Jag? I honestly didn’t even know they offered AWD. Is it physically through the oil pan and has a labyrinth seal or they changed the shape of the oil pan and the shaft runs under, where the pan used to be? Can you find pictures?

This is what I found: The right wheel’s halfshaft passes through the sump so that the engine stays low.

Stay tuned, Jag story coming within the next week. Not to rain on your parade, but whatever used car you end up with (even CPO like mine), there are risks of warranty denial.
